The Mexican national team stuns the entire nation of Brazil as their goalkeeper, Memo Ochoa has the best night of his professional career and forces a scoreless draw. It's 0-0 for hosts Brazil and Olympic champions Mexico

It's a huge upset. The Chilean squad defeats Spain 2-0 and sends them home. Chile, on the other hand, becomes the second team to move to the knock-out stage

Costa Rica, the cinderella story of this World Cup couldn't make it past Tim Krul of the Netherlands in penalty shoot out. Krul came in for starting goalkeeperJasper Cillessen in the 120th minute, just for the penalties.The final score was 4-3 a 0-0 tie in 120 minutes. Krul saved two and correctly guessed all five penalty shots

It's a humiliating defeat for Brazil, the worst loss for any host nation, and the worst loss during a semifinal game. It's and embarrassing 7-1 loss against the German machine, who move on to the final game
